From man to god

Chapter 31

Union 333, October 18 1320

Border Star, D City, South Second District

Vien walked into the lobby on the first floor of the apartment and walked straight to the elevator door.

He is wearing a black suit and a tie, with a white shirt inside. The tall figure and the pistol under the armpit are well covered by black clothes. Holding a * bag in his hand, this dress makes him no different from other ordinary citizens who pass by or stand beside him waiting for the elevator.

He pressed the button on the tenth floor and the elevator door slowly closed.

Next to him was a young woman holding a child, who faced him and spoke vaguely. He looked at the child a few times, and the child was smiling at him. A smile without impurities and meaning is very innocent.

The elevator stopped on the tenth floor and he went out.

He came to the door of Room 1003 and observed a cat's eye flush with his chest. He took out the special card prepared by the Military Service and scratched it through the card slot, and then pressed the fingerprint reader with his thumb. The identity authentication became the back door opened, and he quickly entered and closed the door.

"Jenny, I have successfully entered the target area." His throat moved, and the audio signal was sent out.

"Received." Jenny replied. She sat in the car and waited in the parking area of the apartment. Everything around is normal, and the target has not appeared yet.

Vien pulled out his pistol and looked around.

This is an ordinary house with simple decoration. He walked through three rooms, study, hall and other places and wrote down the layout. Finally, he returned to the hall and sat quietly on the sofa. All he needs now is to wait. Inadvertently, he found a photo frame next to the holographic projector in front of him.

This is a group photo of a family of three. The young woman took her lovely daughter's hand and smiled; next to her was a slightly gentle brunette man with glasses. Wayne's eyes rested on him.

The superior gave him seven days of rest and adjustment, and then Major McLean arranged a "simple" recovery task for him - working with Jenny to assassinate the man and collect available information. The target was confirmed guilty of espionage and colluded with the rebels many times by stealing secrets.

This task is extremely easy, but the previous enthusiasm has disappeared, and he only feels heavy.

Although he doubts everything, he has to face orders. It is still painful and difficult to choose to erase the deep-rooted nature of more than ten years. In the first step into the apartment, conscience and nature are fighting indisputable. He couldn't judge whether the goal was good or bad, and the suspicion made him unable to continue.

Maybe you are wrong? His heart is asking, what if everything he knows is rare and taken out of context? He disobeyed the order and abandoned the soldier's vocation. The rest were all wrong options, which would even put more people in crisis. Can he be worthy of himself?

But there was another voice telling him that it was right. He must continue. He peeped into the corner of the truth, and now he needs to break through the fog and expose the truth to the light. He has a choice, but he must do the right thing - he has no chance to hesitate any more.

"Vien, the goal has appeared."

Jenny's voice interrupted him in the process of struggling with right and wrong.

"I understand and act as planned."

Vien picked up the pistol and pushed away the insurance, but still sat quietly on the sofa.

The elevator stopped on the tenth floor again. A man in his thirties came out. He took a bag in his hand and quickly walked to the 1003 door. In the other elevator, Jenny also came out and followed the target. Her pace was gentle, but soon approached the target.

After the target took out the room card and passed the fingerprint verification, Jenny's gun in her hand was already on his waist. "Relax!" She pushed him in and hooked the door with her foot, "Sit across the sofa!" Jenny pushed him, and the man staggered forward a few steps, but still sat honestly opposite Wayne.

"Mr. Fang Sheng." Wayne politely said that Jenny next to him took his bag, turned it over, and took out a computer and a micro-retorage. She picked up a memory the size of a nail piece. The other party said, "How can you, an ordinary employee, use this advanced encrypted storage tool?"

"Personal hobbies." He said that he looked calm, but Wayne found that one of his hands restlessly on his leg and rubbed it. Rubbing.

"We are here today for two purposes. The first is to get something." Wayne said to him, "The second is your life."

"If you cooperate, I can give you a happy way to die."

Fang Sheng's face finally changed, but Wayne's muzzle was always aimed at him. And even without this gun, he can be sure that Wayne can kill him effortlessly in an instant. He knows the origin of these people, and he also knows that they have always killed people.

During the conversation, Jenny took out her computer and connected the memory. She looked up and said, "Give me the password and fingerprint recognition."

Fang Sheng did it one by one.

She browsed quickly, but the content recorded was ordinary and boring, and even scribbled in some places. However, she knew that this was a common trick of intelligence personnel.

Jenny turned off the computer and nodded to Wayne.

Vine raised the muzzle and pointed it at Fang Sheng's head. His fingers pressed the trigger slightly to maintain the highest sensitivity of the shot.

He was expressionless, but he was hesitant. He didn't know whether he should continue to work hard.

Fang Sheng did not pray, but his head was sweaty and his face was desperate. Suddenly, the communicator on his body made a cry, and he almost jumped up. Everyone's eyes were focused on his pocket. Wayne pointed his gun at him and motioned him to take things out.

"Who is it?"

Fang Sheng took a look, then looked up, and said to Wayne with a desperate face, "This is my daughter's correspondence." He took out the communicator and said, "Sir, I hope I can say a few more words to her. I won't play tricks, please!"

"One minute." Wayne said that he lowered the muzzle of the gun.

"Thank you." He said gratefully, trembling to receive the correspondence, and the image of his daughter was projected.

"Dad!" She looks about six or seven years old, with black hair and a dress, which is very lively. Huh? Who are the uncles and aunts next to them?

"They are Dad's friends." Fang Sheng wiped away his sweat and smiled, "Smile quickly."

"Good job." She said cleverly.

Wayne smiled stiffly, but he couldn't help quietly lowering the hidden pistol to prevent the girl from seeing what was in his hand.

"Dad, when can you go home on vacation?" She asked expectantly, "You promised last time that you would take the whole family to play together, and I will never play tricks on you this time!"

She is very serious. Fang Sheng tried his best to squeeze out a smile, "Xiao Meng, Dad promises that as long as he has time, he will go back and fulfill all your wishes and dreams, okay?"

"Oh," she nodded disappointedly, "but isn't there no time recently?"

"This, Dad is really busy. Look, uncles and aunts are waiting here and need my help. I can't go to play alone and let them wait here indefinitely, can I? He said to his daughter, "Is that right, Xiao Meng?"

"Just like I'm waiting for my father?" She asked.

"Yes, that's how it feels." Fang Sheng nodded, "You are not young. You know, not everything will go in the direction you expect. You should listen to your mother, but don't always be naughty and capricious.

"I also helped my mother walk the dog yesterday!" She said unconvincedly.

"Well done, keep it in the future... The starting point of everything your parents do is for you, although certain things will make you painful and difficult to accept. Please remember that a person should always learn to get used to it, just like his father doesn't always have time to be with you, but I will always think of you.

"I will listen to my mother." She promised.

"Good boy." He smiled and said, "But now I still have something to do. Please tell my mother that I will go back sometime. Dad loves you!"

"Goodbye, Dad!" She waved her hand and the communication was disconnected.

After finishing the communication, Fang Sheng sat on the sofa paraly. He reached out and pulled the tie around his neck, as if he had fulfilled all his wishes and breathed a sigh of relief.

Vien wants to pull the trigger hard to end everything. But when he looked up, he saw the photo of a family of three, and he wanted to break the world of this warm family. The girl's clever face still came to his mind, across Fang Sheng's chest. He can't imagine the pain of the child losing his father.

He asked himself if he could really do it?

His brain seemed to have been thrown into the blender, which was messy and painful. However, one corner of the truth tells him that continuing will only cause more meaningless sacrifices, just like his own men, like soldiers who do not know the right mission.

"You can go." He put away his gun and his hands were trembling. He didn't know whether it was because of his first disobedience or because he finally made the right choice.

"What?" Jenny looked at Wayne doubtfully, "He is our target!"

Fang Sheng had an incredible face, but he didn't get up. He thought it was the other party who made a joke.

"I'm not sure whether everything the task requires us to do is right or wrong. Do you understand?" Wayne asked her, and he urgently needed an answer, "I don't know whether this guy is good or bad, but we have done too many wrongs. The truth tells me that we must do something worthy of conscience!"

"Just as I don't want the meaningless death caused by the conspiracy to fall on our companions, our comrades-in-arms." He stood up, looked into Jenny's eyes and put down the gun. "Are you going to stop me?"

"But this is the order from above." Jenny is puzzled.

"Then leave his orders alone!" Wayne shouted, "It's these orders that manipulate and use us to do all kinds of right or wrong. It only uses us as machines!"

Vine's words silenced Jenny, and she is now full of problems.

"Is that how you let him go out?" But she put away her gun. "This is too stupid. I'm much smarter than your bad idea."

Vien smiled at her and made a choice. But it also means that she has embarked on a dangerous road, and the responsibility is completely borne by Wayne. Can he bear the future?

"You must think about it carefully." Jenny sat down and said, "The upper request is for us to kill him, but if this guy goes out so openly when our report is completed... I can predict that we won't get better. So we have to change the plan.

"Of course, you can't be reckless now." Wayne nodded approvingly.

"Have you decided to let me go?" After listening for a while, Fang Sheng finally changed from the shadow of dying.

"Don't look at me." Jenny waved to him, "I never believe in people like you. If no one stops me, I will be the first to kill you."

Fang Sheng took a step back.

"Do you want to hear it? I have a way."

"Texy!"

"Before you carry out the mission, you should know that I am from the Military CIA, right?"

But they all shook their heads.

"Okay, but I know you - a secret killing machine trained by Mi3." He said, "I used to be involved in this kind of secrets, but because I have something they don't want me to have, just like those rebel officers." He shrugged his shoulders, "You know, those who have no useful value can only face the result of being abandoned."

"Can you tell me more truth?" Wayne asked that he was now eager to pass through the fog around him to explore the real truth.

"Well, you saved me once." He said seriously, although his forehead was sweating, "I know that the people you target will die, but..."

"Say something substantive." Wayne interrupted him, and he was very disgusted with others commenting on how superb their killing skills were.

"It will be difficult to make it clear for a while." He shook his head, "But I feel that you and I were similar and began to be suspicious of everything I carried out."

"I have something for you." He turned over the bottom of the table and took out a sharp scalpel. "If you can, do me a favor. There is an implant chip under the skin at my thigh."

Vien took his knife and quickly took out a small chip at the designated position.

"It contains the information I use to save my life and everything I know, as well as the login method and password matrix of the military personnel terminal. Since they are going to attack me, no matter how effective these things are, I can't escape death. Fang Sheng looked at Wayne, "But you started much earlier than I expected."

Wein put things away, and Dr. Hurley will definitely use them.

"Then how do you create the illusion of your death?" Wayne asked him.

"It's simple." He smiled and said, "The series of training I received was for this purpose, creating signs of a person's death. It's just a common thing for me."
