Magic Dance Song

Chapter 9 Final Choice Finish

Through the maze, there is a red corridor. There were some dark shadows wandering on both sides of the corridor. They dared not approach Kendall, but stared at him one by one with expectation.

These are the people who were separated from their lives in the goddess church. Endless nightmares constantly torment their immortal souls, losing their existence but not disappearing, so that they can only become undeads who eat nothing. I dare not chase the light, but I am afraid of the darkness. I can only be painfully lost between life and death, day after day, year after year...

Kendal couldn't bear to see them, so he could only lead Wei Ye and walk slowly forward. The barrier of death separated by itself as he approached, layer after layer, and they came to the altar intertwined with black and white.

A woman in white sat on the altar and looked so gentle. In her arms, holding the virtual shadow of a translucent child, even if he just dropped his eyes on the virtual shadow, Kendall felt that he would be swallowed up by the dark vortex hidden in it. However, the woman looked at the fake child with shocking sweetness and love. Kendall approached her gently and stared at her face, feeling that her whole heart was filled with unprecedented happiness.

"Shastine controlled her dream and made her think of the illusion of the space crack as her own child," Wei Ye whispered. "She poured her infinite love and thoughts on the false child, which plunged the whole world into disaster."

"She thought it was me." Kendal's voice trembled, "She only wanted to give all the happiness to her child, but her child came to kill her with a sword... If she is really evil like this, what can be regarded as light?"

"Don't think too much, Kendall," said Wei Ye, "that will make your heart weak. Think about the villages that have been destroyed and are about to be destroyed, and think of those who have lived a hard time with their families but have never complained. Her death alone means that everyone will be free from disaster. I think if she still has her own thoughts, she will be happy to let you do so.

Firmly determined, Kendal stood up and raised his sword. The blade began to emit white light, with fire-like heat.

Chop under the long sword.

But it stopped again.

"Kendall..."

After a long silence, Kendal looked at Wei Ye: "If I kill her like this, where will her soul go?"

Viye's face was pale and he shook his head vigorously, hoping that he would not have to answer this question.

"Tell me."

"She will fall back into the blood pool," Wei Ye covered her face tightly. "The door of the blood pool will be closed, and all the souls imprisoned because of her will be released. However, the curse she received was her own choice, which made the goddess unable to accept her soul, and she would fall into the hands of the dark god again. And this time, no one knows how the dark evil god full of anger will torture her. I don't even dare to think about it..."

With a bang, the long sword fell to the ground. Kendall slowly retreated. Such a price may be insignificant for the whole redeemed world, but is it the same for him? If someone has to decide who deserves to be saved more than whom, why must this person be him?

"But you have to do this. The world will survive because of you. You will become a poem sung by bards. In the future, all historians will focus on the page that records today."

"Yes, I will become a hero to save the world just because I killed my mother?" Kendall suddenly sneered, "No, I can't do it."

"Kendall..."

"Look at her," Kendal knelt in front of Ruth and stared at the happy face. "There is only the gentlest love in her heart. I can't imagine that no child will be proud of having such a mother. She has done so much for me. If I take away her only happiness now, how can I get her love?

"But this happiness is false."

"No, it's true," Kendal whispered. "It's true for her and it's true for me."

"Oh, my God," Wei Ye couldn't help retreating, "This is not right. This is not the end predicted by fate! The world should be saved, you will become a hero, and I am the one who guides you... should be like this. Where on earth did it go wrong? Fate can't be resisted, but why did it suddenly change? I don't understand, I really don't understand..."

Kendall did not answer. He just stared deeply at his mother and kept the happiness that he would never forget. Then, he slowly retreated until he took Wei Ye's hand and turned away with her. Wei Ye wanted to stop it, but his pace was so firm that no one could change it.

The imprisoned undead howled because of disappointment, but could only torture themselves in vain. Through the maze and out of the tunnel, Kendall walked without hesitation for a moment and walked out of the ground before he stopped. The rainstorm continues, but the dark clouds in the sky are just getting more and more.

"Kendall, this is wrong..." The girl shouted hoarsely.

"Maybe," he just smiled, "but this is my own choice. I can't explain why I made such a choice, perhaps because of my selfishness or because I really inherited my mother's blood. At this moment, I deeply understand that even if she brought everything around her into darkness, she would protect my heart.

"But this is not right..."

"I didn't say it was right," Kendal gently hugged the girl in his arms. "Weiye, I just hope you can understand that if someone wants me to save the world at the cost of hurting you, I will also make a choice at this moment. I will protect you at all costs... just like my mother did for me."

The girl lay on his chest and cried bitterly.

The whole southern part of Kesern County has fallen into darkness, and the dark clouds are still spreading outward. The bombarding electric light is like Shastine's sneer. Two people who snuggled up to each other walked out of the Valley of May in lightning and thunder. No one knew where they finally went...

*postscript*

In the autumn of 526, the passage between the demon realm and the earthly world was completely opened in the Valley, and the dark god Shading stepped out of the demon realm. In order to fight against evil, the goddess of the Ath continent, Shael, summoned the arrival of Luna through her dedication, and the duel between light and darkness involved the whole Mengya world into the vortex...
