What is Rasha?

In Buddhism, it refers to evil spirits and demons that cannibalism. It is recorded in Volume 25 of Huilin's Significance: "Rasha, this cloud is also a devil. It can eat human flesh and blood, or fly in the air or on the ground, which is terrible. Volume 7 of the same book also said: "Rasha, Sanskrit, ancient cloud Rasha, and evil (middle) are also the names of violent ghosts. Men are extremely ugly, women are very beautiful, and they all eat people.

The name of the evil spirit. It is also written as Rashasa (Rashaba is miswritten), Rashasa, Raqichasa, Aluoshasa. It is interpreted as a fearful, fast ghost and protector. The woman is called Rasha girl and Rasha private (Van Rākşasī, also known as Rasha). It is a demon in Indian mythology and was first seen in the Rig Veda. It is said that it was originally the name of the indigenous people of India. After the Aryans conquered India, it became synonymous with evil people and evolved into the general name of evil spirits. The male Rasha has a black body, red hair and green eyes, while the female Rasha is like a beautiful woman, full of charming power and specializes in eating human flesh and blood. It is said that in Lengjia Island (i.e. Ceylon), there is a women's state of Rasha, which is recorded in Volume 49 of the Book of Buddhism, Volume 47 of Pinaya, Volume 7 of Huilin Yinyi, etc. Rasha has magical power and can fly in the sky or quickly on the ground, which is a terrible ghost.

In addition, Rasha is also a jailer of hell, punishing sinners. Also known as Abang, Abang Rasha, Afang and Bang. There are many shapes, or ox heads and human hands, or ox hooves, very strong, or deer head, sheep head, rabbit head, etc. However, in the Buddhist scriptures, Rasha vowed to protect the Dharma and the pedestrians of the Dharma, often became the guardian god of Buddhism, and often participated in Dharma meetings and followed the Dharma.

In the scriptures, the Rasha of all kinds of evil spirits has also been transformed into the guardian deity of Buddhism, known as Rasha Heaven, which is one of the twelve heavens. They are in the shape of a god king, wearing armor, holding knives in their hands, and riding white lions. It is also like the ten-brasha woman, the guardian god of the Dharani of the Dharma Sutra.

Yan Luo is a free translation of Yamaraja, also translated as "Yan Mo", "Yan Mo Luo" and so on, commonly known as "Lord of Hell" and "King of Hell".

Legend has it that a long time ago, King Yan was a king of the State of Bisha. He was belligerent and never gave in. At that time, the only country that could be his enemy was ruled by the first king of Vito, and the army was also very strong. They fought for years and fought in the army.

Because the king of Visha was blindly exhausted, his national strength gradually became weak. Finally, in a big battle, the army of the Visha Kingdom was almost killed by the first king of Vitus. King Bisha finally got out of the siege and fled to the top of a mountain. His 18 troops gathered millions of people and horses to find him on the mountain. They first comforted the king of Visha, and then were furious. They swore to heaven in the direction of the first-life king of Vito who defeated them: "Follow King Visha to the death! We must punish the fierce enemy. Even if we go to the hell, we must be king and fight to the end!" Then, under the leadership of King Pisha, they went straight to hell without hesitation. Therefore, the king of Bisha became the prestigious king of hell. His 18 departments became judges in the 18th floor of hell, and the millions who followed him also became jailers one by one.

King Bisha's oath has finally come true! Before his death, he was defeated by the king of Vito and became the king of hell after his death. It was really enough for him to suffer from hell when the first king of Vito was due. There are countless kinds of hells, all kinds of strange things. Eight cold hell, eight hot hell, lonely hell, mud plow hell, knife mountain hell, iron bed hell, ice hell, peeling hell, animal hell, knife soldier hell, maggot hell and other 18 layers, each layer has cruel punishment, with bloody torture tools.

Maybe there were more and more cases in the underworld later, and it was difficult for a hell to finish the trial, so it was divided into ten. The ten kings are King Guang of Qin, King Chujiang, Emperor Song, King Wuguan, King Yanluo, King Chang, King Taishan, King of the City, King of No. They each judged the ghosts who were taken to their own temple in the ten temples of hell. Because the king of Yanluo is the most famous, he is the first of the ten halls of Yanluo. According to legend, after death, the soul will report to the Zhu Family Hall.

Sura has beautiful women but no good food, and the heavens have good food but no beautiful women. They hate each other and often fight, so later generations also call the battlefield Shura field. Its fruit is better than heaven than heaven. Although it has blessings, it is slow and persistent. Although it is taught by all kinds of education, its heart is not moved. Although it hears Buddhism, it cannot be enlightened.

The female Shura is beautiful and often confuses all sentient beings and makes it difficult to practice. Therefore, although Asura does not have to suffer, there is a great chance of falling into the three evil ways after death, so it is gradually listed as an evil way.
