City of Dimlight

Chapter 81 The trap

Someone flashed on his left, which told them that someone was also staring at him on the other side. But they continue to move forward, because when they take the first step of the dagger pub, they no longer expect to see a different scene. After bypassing the last pile of wooden boards, they saw a slender figure leaning against the wall with a cloak tightly wrapped to resist the cold fog at night.

Aura put her head out to Allen's neckline. Is this the man?" It asked in a low voice.

The young man shrugged his shoulders and said, "Otherwise, who is it?" He took another step forward, stood firmly with his feet open, and then spoke to the man. I'm looking for a man named Deli." He shouted, "Are you the one?"

"Yes, it's not right!" The other party replied. The man turned to them, but the tightly wrapped cloak still covered most of his body and could not see anything.

"What tricks are you playing?" Allen shouted.

"I'm Deli," the figure replied, letting the cloak slide back a little: "But I'm not that 'person'!"

Now they can clearly see the man's appearance: dark and mysterious appearance, long black hair and deep and sharp eyes, showing his rich experience and threats that cannot be ignored on this street.

"Dark Elf!" Aurora quickly recognized the identity of the man from the characteristics of this race: "A very dangerous opponent, Allen!"

Alan nodded and held his machete: "I'm here to buy some information - the owner of the dagger pub introduced me!" He was anxious to get things done and set off on the way back quickly, so he said his intention directly. I heard that you can provide me with information about the elf kingdom, the dwarf kingdom and the orc kingdom - it is said that you have everything here!"

The dark elf nodded and replied coldly, "I have a lot of information, but I don't know what you need?"

"About recent events - especially recent... Well, big events and missing human news within two years." Allen explained, "The more detailed the better. It's better to describe the appearance of the missing person."

Derley nodded, "This price is not low, my friend," he said.

Aron lost a small bag of mithril to him. These should be enough to pay for your expenses!" He roared. He is not angry about money, but feels frustrated because he can't control everything now.

Dley poured the contents of the small bag into his hand and carefully looked at these unimaginable mithril blocks. When he poured them back into the small bag, he nodded and knew the considerable value of these things.

"Do not move!" When he began to tie the small bag to his belt, Allen roared out. You are not allowed to take any of my mithril until I get the news!"

"Of course!" The dark elf replied with a disarmed smile.

"I'll think about it and tell you all the information right away." He threw the small bag back to Allen and suddenly turned around. His cloak made a crackling sound and raised a puff of smoke. In a gust of wind, there was a sudden flash of light, and then she disappeared.

Aron jumped back and grabbed his handle. What kind of magic is this?" He shouted.

Aurora didn't feel anything special. It flew out of Allen's arms and fell on his shoulder. Calm down, strong human beings. It said, "This is just a scare trick, covering his departure with flashes and smoke." It points to a small pile of boards. Go to this sewer."

Aaron hurriedly opened the small bag, and he was surprised to find that all the mithril blocks inside had turned into stones.

"Damn dark elves!" He cursed loudly and pulled out his machete to chase him through the sewer, but the little angel suddenly made a 'hush' to stop him from acting further.

The crack in the wall cracked, as Aurora expected, and the villains of Deli's men rushed out. Our adventurers are already ready, with the machete in hand. With a flash of the knife, the blunt face of the machete properly disarmed the villain who ran out of it with enough precision. Then it came again and patted the man on the cheek, and then Allen reversed it with the same smooth movement and knocked on the man's temple with a knife handle. The villain was knocked unconscious by continuous attacks and fell to the ground motionless.

At the same time, the little angel was not idle and showed its aggressive power for the first time in front of Allen: it first released a boundary, completely closed the sight of the archer, and then quickly emitted an electric light, burning two of them into black charcoal and directly losing its combat effectiveness.

"Examine him! I have an intuition that this dark elf can bring you back to your memory!" Aurora shouted and flew to Allen's side at the same time.

Aron was about to agree, but an arrow flying from somewhere in the alley shot on the wooden pillar between them, and more people rushed out at the same time.

"Go!" Allen said more firmly, "I'll take him!" He rushed to the prisoner's side, lifted it on his shoulder, and began to gracefully bypass the obstacles made of gravel. The little angel roared and flew beside him.

They quickly passed through various obstacles and escaped among the arrows. Gradually, they began to believe that there were no pursuers behind them, so they began to slow down.

Euler looked back carefully: "No one is continuing to chase us!" He said happily and turned around and found a red mark behind Allen when he turned his head.

"Alon! - Are you hurt?" It asked in a hurry.

But when Allen stopped and threw the prisoner behind him on the ground, he easily found the reason: at least three arrows were inserted in the prisoner's back, and he only had to breathe in and did not breathe!

Ola Ruo patted his chest and took a long breath: "Oh, I'm scared to death! - I thought you were shot!"

"He was shot," Allen said regrettedly, "That's good - there is no clue at all!"

The little angel flew to his shoulder and sat down: "I have an idea - let's go back to the 'Jianjian Tavern'! I believe there is something I can find there!"

He laughed: "And our mithril!" He added, and then immediately began to take action.

Soon after, the two people arrived at the curved alley and stopped at the last alley to see if there was any sign of pursuit. After confirming that everything had calmed down, Aurora skillfully got into Allen's arms and hid to avoid being seen.

"Let's go," it whispered, "Let's find the mastermind quickly and make sure we should go there!" It has a happy tone: "No one is chasing after you - it's a good opportunity!"

Aren shrugged his shoulders: "Or their purpose of shooting arrows is to drive us away - after all, they have got something, so you don't have to worry about them pestering us."

The little angel opened his eyes wide and had never heard of this ugly phenomenon of human society: "So...one of them died! - Aren't you afraid that they will take revenge?"

"Revenge?" He sneered and said, "There is absolutely no revenge for them - I'm afraid they will be happier if one person dies!" That means they can get more!"

Eura drilled deeper into his arms, as if this sentence scared him: "This is really..."

"Don't say it!" Allen opened the door of the dagger tavern: "We're here!"

When night falls, the dagger pub also becomes more lively. Sailors from merchant ships flocked, and the local residents immediately came to serve them. The fat boss was not here, but Allen calmly found an inconspicuous corner, shouted a glass of ale, and waited patiently for him to come back.

A woman walked towards them, which troubled Allen. She is not young, and her haggard appearance is the most common at this dock, but none of her parts are like a lady's nightgown, but it hides the defects of her figure with a provocative smoke screen. She stared at Allen's face. This was a very young man and might be an aristocrat. She thought so, and then she began her usual process very familiarly.

"I'm so glad to meet you, tall man." The woman said delicately and slipped comfortably into the chair next to Alan.

The little angel looked at Alan and almost laughed out loud because he couldn't believe the embarrassment he saw.

"You are not from Silverbird City," the woman continued, "you don't look like a businessman who just entered the harbor by boat. Where are you from?"

"North," Allen stammered, "from a... a valley."

"I'm a poor adventurer," he continued to explain, trying to emphasize the word "poor" to protect himself. I don't even have a penny left. I just want to find a job here.

The woman looked at Allen carefully again and smashed her on the lips. What a pity." She sighed and asked, "Is it really not even a copper coin?"

Aron smiled helplessly.

"What a pity." The woman repeated it and stood up and left.
