Chapter 84 Returning
In addition to academic success, Wang Shouren began to explore Taoism and Buddhism by practicing health care.
In Taoism, Wang Shouren began to practice the Taoist temple of the Iron Pillar Palace again, that is, the "guideship" he learned from the Taoist priest, that is, the method of absorbing health maintenance - there was no more heavy burden on his shoulders. Suddenly, everything seemed to be independent of his own life. Wang Shouren practiced like a fish in water. In the end, he can have some "prediction" ability like Lou Yizhai. "Prediction" is not an unreachable thing, but whether the heart is calm enough. Many human instincts have been covered with too much dirt in the secular world. Only when they really calm down can they find this initial instinct.
Once Wang Shouren was practicing in the cave, and suddenly he had a hunch that a friend had visited him, so he said to the servant, "Go and greet the four friends at the foot of the mountain!" The servant did not agree and decided to go down the mountain to verify it. As a result, Wang Shouren guessed that all the names were correct, and everyone was very surprised.
Even he can't say anything about this ability to predict, but he calls these: "It's not Taoist!" Even animals have the ability to predict natural disasters such as earthquakes, and it's not a big deal for human beings to have this ability to predict.
Once again, Wang Shouren met a Zen master at Hupao Temple in Hangzhou. I heard that the Zen master had been practicing in isolation for many years and sat all day long, closing his eyes and saying anything. Wang Shouren saw what he had been muttering about, so he asked loudly, "What are you talking about all day long?"
The Zen master was shocked! It is said that this Zen master has been participating in Buddhism for a long time, practicing profoundly, and has understood life and death and seen through the world. In the year of closed practice, he never opened his eyes, but Wang Shouren could hear the words in his heart, which made the monk feel very frustrated.
Wang Shouren asked the Zen master about "heavenly principles" and "human desire" and asked him how to see through the world. The monk looked left and right about it. He just talked with him about some Buddhist scriptures and Zen principles that he was already familiar with, and he slowly lost interest. And the Zen master gradually became speechless, and the two sides fell into a silent stalemate.
In this long silence, Wang Shouren suddenly had an idea.
He asked questions and broke the silence.
"Do you have a home?"
Zen master opened his eyes and replied:
"Yes."
"Who else is in the family?"
"My mother is still there."
"Do you miss her?"
This question did not get an immediate response, and the empty temple returned to silence, leaving only the fierce wind outside the window.
After a long time, a sigh finally sounded:
"How can you not think!"
Then the Zen master lowered his head slowly. In his opinion, his answer was not in line with the identity of a monk.
Wang Shouren stood up, looked at the ashamed person in front of him, and said seriously:
"There is nothing to be ashamed of missing your mother. This is human nature!"
The Zen master who heard this sentence did not respond, but silently shed tears.
He solemnly saluted Wang Shouren and left. The next day, he packed up, abandoned his identity as a Zen master, and returned home to visit his mother.
Wang Shouren finally understood a truth of the world:
No matter when, where, and for any reason, human nature cannot and will not be extinguished. It will always stand between heaven and earth.
The Zen master is not a senior monk, and the monk is also a person, so people are affectionate. He said that he saw through the world and was ruthless. In fact, he was just forcibly suppressed in the bottom of his heart and had no chance to show it.
Move with your heart, do whatever you want, and all laws are natural, which is the way of sages!
Preserving nature and removing human desire?
God's principle is human desire.
Wang Shouren's words to the Zen monk are actually his own experience - his mother and grandfather have passed away, and this kind of deep nostalgia can't be given up in any case.
Love, whether it is love or family affection, is a responsibility. If the responsibility is avoided, then it will no longer be a human being. It is no longer important whether it is a monk or a monk, because without "humanity", the monks are no different from the vegetatives. Since the responsibility is inevitable, why do you have to escape into the empty door?
Everything in the world is one - heavenly principle is human desire!
Wang Shouren began to see the limitations of Taoism and Buddhism, and no longer wandered between various doctrines such as Buddhism and Taoism. Instead, he firmly positioned his thoughts as "sacred science" - applying theoretical knowledge to life practice and transforming the practical experience of life into knowledge.
He began to officially accept students and preach his "sacred studies", and gradually networked many aspiring young people. At the same time, there is a man named Zhan Ruoshui (Zengcheng, Guangdong), whose thinking is the same as Wang Shouren. Because of their confidants, Yang Ming's evaluation of Zhan Ruoshui is: Shouren has not seen this person for 30 years. Zhan Ruoshui's evaluation of Wang Yangming is: If the water is in all directions, he has not seen this person.
The two people think that the eight-stranded science is a big problem today, "the words are more detailed, the way is more obscure; the analysis of reason is better, and the learning is better." Therefore, their common goal is to break out of science and advocate true and righteous doctrine. From then on, Wang Shouren no longer has a sense of loneliness, which makes him go on more unswervingly. Finally, there was an uproar in the ideological world.
In an uninterrupted surging **, the mind has grown up. Two years of vacation passed in a flash, but the harvest was fruitful.
Wang Shouren readily sorted out his clothes and rushed to the capital to take office - this will be the best opportunity for Wang Shouren to talk about the combination of his theory and practice.
In the 17th year of Hongzhi, he was appointed to preside over the Shandong township examination, and in the township examination record written by himself, he discussed that "the old Buddha is in charge, due to the unknown sanctity, the discipline is not good, and due to the name. The device is too abusive, the use of people is too urgent, and the efficiency is too fast", and the economic propositions such as "dividing Qingrong and resisting the Yi litigation" have been put forward.
Wang Shouren came to take the examination as the head of the criminal department. Facing the Confucian students who came to the hometown of Confucius to test, he naturally felt that this was "the great happiness of his life". Most of the brothers of Kongmen are also from Qilu. People and earth spirits grow together. Wang Shouren's ambition to be a saint in this "spiritual and strange" hometown of sages is also a little "contribution" to the pilgrimage.
The most important thing is that you can finally find the excitement of boiling blood and a try from the officialdom. At this moment, his desire to realize himself and his impulse to take off are overflowing.
His subjects are very bold. For example, the first "four books" (eight articles) actually asked: "The so-called ministers can't stop Taoism", which is a question that is not in line with the minds of the rulers. At that time, Confucius traveled around the countries because he adhered to this basic principle of "Taoist King", and there was no way to do it, and finally at the cost of not being an official for life. Mencius was more fierce and almost spared no effort to attack those shameless people who were im moral, took wealth and noble, and took the Taoism of concubines. "If you can't stop" contains the spirit of "If you use it, you will do it, and if you give it up, you will hide it".
This proposition is quite collisional in the autocracy of a unified monarchy. Because "unstoppable" contains the independent position of the monarch, as well as the moral principle and value orientation of not being a dog or a servant or a private minister for the "landlord leader". Zhu Yuanzhang scolded Mencius and destroyed and then deleted Mencius because he wanted to crack down on Mencius's "revolutionary" tendency. If Zhu Yuanzhang sees Wang Shouren's question like this, he must kill the nine clans! From this point of view, I have to give a fair evaluation of Xiaozong Zhu Youxuan - too honest!
Wang Shouren is aiming at the reality of the general decline of Scholars' Character Festival. He wants to rebuild the scholar principle of "Taoist King". "Unstoppable" seems to be passive but reflects the noble spirit of non-cooperation, which is the lower limit of scholars to maintain Taoism, so as to put an end to the extremely shameless behavior of doing everything in order to climb up. The world's scholarly style, but the atmosphere of scholars and scholars and doctors chasing power in the Ming Dynasty was not cultivated in a day. Wang Shouren has felt that this trend must be stopped, otherwise not only the scholars will be scholars but also the country will not be the country.
Another topic also saw Wang Shouren's thoughts: "Yu thinks that those who drown in the world are drowned by themselves, and those who are hungry in the world are starved by themselves." This is the doctrine of Mencius's warm-hearted Confucianism, but it is in the Song Dynasty that he really follow Shilin and becomes a scholarly style. Famous as Fan Zhongyan's call for "the worries of the world first, and the joy of the world later"; Zhang Zaizhi's "people, my compatriots. The creed of "things, me and also" are outstanding manifestations, and the spring breeze turns into rain, and the people's hearts are wide.
Wang Shouren's mind comes directly from this theory of "the benevolent and all things are one". Taking the world as my responsibility, everything is related to my heart. "I" is the "owner", and everyone is responsible for the rise and fall of the world, etc., emphasizing the unity of the small self with the great self.
