Chapter 33 Eagle Tiger God
Dongyue Temple in Jinan City, in Nanguo.
Around the gate, there is a statue of a god, more than ten feet high, commonly known as "Eagle Tiger God", which is ferocious and terrible.
There is a Taoist priest surnamed Ren in the temple. He is diligent and his duty. Every day, the rooster crows and get up early, and he must burn incense and recite the scriptures.
When there were thieves hiding in the corridor, Hou Taoist priest left in the morning class and sneaked into the house to search for property.
But the Taoist priest was poor. He rummaged through the boxes and cabinets, and only got 300 copper coins. He honestly and rudely put it in his arms and closed the door and left.
The thief will climb thousands of Foshan and reach the foot of the mountain. When he sees a burly husband, he stops an eagle in his left arm and comes down the mountain. The two meet and secretly look at him. His bronze face is faintly similar to the statue in front of the temple gate.
The thief was afraid and knelt down and trembled. The eagle tiger smiled and said, "Stealing copper money, where do you want to go?" The thief was guilty and dared not answer, but kept kowtowing.
The Eagle Tiger God picked up the thief, grabbed him back to the temple, ordered him to pour out all the copper coins, and knelt down and waited for the Taoist priest to be punished.
After the morning class, the Taoist priest was shocked to see the thief kneeling in the bedroom. The thief told himself the story of the theft one by one.
The Taoist priest suddenly took back the copper money, released the thief, and let him return.
