Chapter 265 Luo Zu
Luo Zu, a native of Jimo, Shandong Province, was young and poor. He was drafted to the north to defend the border. Luo Zu lived in the north for several years and gave birth to a son. After that, his career was smooth and he was highly valued by his superiors. Later, his boss was promoted to general and went to Shaanxi to take office. Luo Zu accompanied him. Before leaving, he entrusted his wife and children to his friend Li to take care of him.
Once the boss sent Luo Zu to northern Xinjiang to deliver a letter. Before delivering the letter, Luo Zu returned to his hometown on the way. When he came home, his wife was safe and sound, but there was a pair of men's cloth shoes under the bed. Luo Zu was suspicious and thought, "Is it possible that the wife stole people? Needless to say, the adulter must be Li." Immediately with his wife, he went to Li's house to visit, called thank you, which was verified.
Li came out to greet him, with a warm attitude and set up a banquet for entertainment. During the banquet, his wife couldn't help praising Li for his kindness, and the corners of her eyebrows and eyes. Luo Zu's heart was cold and silent. The next day, Luo Zu said to his wife, "I'm going to the frontier to deliver letters. I won't come back tonight. You don't have to wait for me." I went out to ride a horse, and one day after another, I secretly turned back.
Luo Zu tiptoed to the window, and only heard his wife's charming voice from the room. He was talking and laughing with Li. Luo Zu was furious and broke into the door. The two of them were afraid and knelt down and begged for mercy. Luo Zu pulled out his knife and put it on Li's neck. Suddenly, he took back the knife and said coldly, "Like a beast like you, killing you and dirty my knife. Listen to me. If you don't want to die, promise me two things. First, take care of my wife and children for me. Second, be a soldier for me. After saying that, he went away.
The neighbors reported the matter to the government, and the county magistrate interrogated it, and Li confessed truthfully. The county magistrate was furious. Now he beat Li and his wife 50 boards each and were put in prison. A year later, both of them died. As for Luo Zu's son, he was sent back to his hometown and handed over to his relatives in Jimo County to take care of him.
Luo Zu has been missing since he left last time. Later, a woodcutter met Luo Zu in the forest. At that time, he meditated in the cave and did not drink or eat all day long. He sent him dry food, but he refused to accept it. After a few years, the weeds were overgrown outside the cave, and Luo Zu was still inseparable. After a long time, someone saw Luo Zu walking in the mountains, approached him, and disappeared in the blink of an eye. Going to the cave to check, Luo Zu was full of dust, and his body had already sat down, thinking that he had become an immortal.
