Prehistoric Notes

Chapter 4 Desperate Exploration

The two fell into the deep valley and were blocked by the drooping vines on the way down. The speed was slower. When they fell to the bottom of the valley, they felt that the ground they stepped on was very soft. Through the light that fell through the hole, it turned out that the soil on the ground was soft all year round, and there was a layer of decaying layer of fallen leaves. So the two of them only had some bruises after falling down.

They got up and looked around and found that there were cliffs on all sides. The bottom of the valley was 100 meters high from the empty place. I'm afraid it would be difficult to climb up. The two turned around with a spare flashlight at the bottom of the valley, where there were two basketball courts large and some animal bones scattered around. It is estimated that these animals should not have fallen to death on the spot after falling down, and could not climb up and starve to death. Li Wen speculated as he looked at it. He was a little anxious, thinking about how to climb up. He must not starve to death here!

Suddenly, Zhou Xirui, who was checking with a flashlight under a cliff, suddenly shouted, "Sister Wen, come and have a look. There is a cave here!" Li Wen quickly walked over and helped Zhou Xirui pull it apart and covered the vines tightly. A two-meter-high hole was exposed and shone with a flashlight. I don't know how dark it is. Li Wen looked at the hole and said, "Can this hole be connected to the outside? Let's go in and have a look."

Zhou Xirui grabbed her and looked into the cave worriedly. The hole lies at the bottom of this poorly lit valley like a monster with a big mouth open, and the deep darkness inside makes people feel horrible associations.

Li Wen was bold and said with a smile, "If you want to be afraid, just go behind me!" Maybe this hole can go outside. Look at the bones of animals everywhere under here. If you want to starve to death here, just stay still!" Zhou Xirui looked around nervously and let go of Li Wen's hand.

Li Wen went in and looked around with a flashlight as he walked. Zhou Xirui followed her closely. He didn't know if he had claustrophobia. After entering the hole, he felt that he was being monitored, as if something in front of him flashed in the light of the flashlight from time to time. After walking for a while, he felt that something behind him had been following them all the time. Although he suddenly turned around with the flashlight several times and didn't find anything, Zhou Xirui was still scared and his nerves collapsed to the limit.

Li Wen laughed when he saw him like this, saying that he didn't look like a man like this. What a coward! Zhou Xirui quickly motioned Li Wen not to laugh so loudly. The laughter had a huge echo in the tunnel, which sounded alarming.

Li Wen stopped laughing because her flashlight shone some strange patterns on the stone wall. I came closer and took a closer look. There were some strange people engraved on it, with big heads and thin limbs. Doing different movements, it seems to be a dance posture. There is a circle in between them, in which there is a humanoid monster with an octopus head. The monster is holding a person in his hand. The man's head and body are normal, and the whole picture looks like some religious sacrificial scenes.

The brushwork is very rough. Is this a prehistoric mural? Was this hole opened by primitive people? Why do you want to chisel in such an inaccessible and very hidden place? Perhaps the prehistoric black bamboo ditch is not wild and inhabited by human beings, but what is this hole for?

Li Wen's heart was full of doubts. These questions fascinated her to look at these murals with a flashlight, no matter how Zhou Xirui stamped her feet and urged her. On these murals, she also saw many circles, and Li Wen thought about it for a long time and didn't know what these circles meant. They walked hundreds of meters further and felt that the tunnel did not lead to the other side of the valley, but to the ground.

Li Wen also found that there were many small holes on the top of the hole. Li Wen thought it might be an exhaust hole! Although the downturn is so deep, the oxygen content in this tunnel is still sufficient, and I don't feel stuffy at all. But since the primitive man drilled the exhaust channel on the top of the tunnel, why didn't he see a hole that could be drilled in above the hole, and it seemed that there was no gap that could be drilled in. So how did this be drilled out?

Even if such technology is scientifically developed by modern people today, it is impossible to excavate such exhaust holes without trace. How did primitive people do it?
