Chapter 29 Ask
Five years later, Qiao Xiaoxuan read several issues of Nirvana True Sutra, edited by Moro. The more he read it, the more confused he became. With all kinds of confusion, he wrote a letter of advice to Moro.
"Dear Mr. Moro Xiantian:
Hello! I am a new reader of the Monthly Nirvana True Sutra. In the monthly magazine, I often see my husband's incisive elaboration of Jindan Avenue and the exquisite annotation of the Gugum, and gradually yearning for the heart of the road. But there are all kinds of questions, please answer them.
I saw a book a few years ago, which preached the views and thoughts of a prophet in the Western world of Bliss that predicted the destruction of mankind within a hundred years. I was skeptical, but now I have thought about it carefully, but I don't think it's necessarily impossible. In today's world, there are ups and downs, changes, local wars and events. From the perspective of the environment and climate, there are also many crises, and many comprehensive factors do pose a great threat to human beings... In my opinion, human society is just a phenomenon in the universe, and it will be destroyed for life. If human beings are really extinct, the Jindan Road is meaningless (those who have realized the Tao have integrated with the universe, so it is eternal, isn't it another matter?). What do you think of this?
2. In my opinion, the vast majority of people (including me) must have nothing to do with Taoism due to environmental constraints such as perseverance, perseverance, patience and material conditions. In this case, we can only constantly improve and transform ourselves and move closer to the realm of truth, goodness and beauty. And in this period of life, when you harm yourself to benefit others, you should not hesitate. May I ask, if a monk sees someone trapped in the sea of fire, does he sacrifice himself to save others, or avoid it to save his own life? ( In fact, I can't do this myself. What I say is nothing more than empty talk to myself. Sir, forgive me with a smile.)
3. Some people say that Taoism is not a thing in the spiritual realm. But I read some articles about Dangong and think it is also a process of material energy accumulation and sublimation. Isn't human consciousness also a substance? Human thinking activities can be said to be the result of the transformation of some material movements, right? Of course, this is in terms of knowing God, and the silent nature of the yuan god is beyond my ability to guess.
4. Mr. once had a saying of 'Tao Guan Tianyu Hongwei'. Everything is, and nothing, and it is also between yes and no. Tao is in human consciousness and perception, and also outside human consciousness. Evil is also the way. How can there be good without evil? How can there be light without darkness? How can a human desire have a pure Taoist mind? Why is there an innate Qingming Taoist world without the acquired turbid world?
I wish you all the best in Taoism. Qiao Xiaoxuan was born late.
Seven days later, I received Moro's innate reply letter:
"Xiao Xuan Housheng:
Some of the questions you raised have been covered in my writings. In order to further discuss these issues with Taoist friends, my personal opinions are as follows:
Human and human society, in terms of a form of existence, is indeed just a phenomenon in the universe. In nature, any evolution from an invisible ontology to a tangible phenomenon will inevitably follow the law of 'birth and death', so as to cycle over and over again. Since celestial bodies that have lived for hundreds of billions of years will live and die, it is not surprising that human society is also in line with the laws of nature. But since thousands of years ago, those of us who are unwilling to fall into reincarnation and are at the mercy of God have been exploring, understanding, practicing and grasping this natural law of the universe, and drawing their conclusion through empirical evidence: as long as people can integrate themselves into the natural ontology of the universe and accept the incubation of the natural ontology of the universe, In the end, if you take the initiative to become the representative of the natural body of the universe, you will no longer be involved in the suffering of the passive reincarnation and evolution of the universe. Everything is born by the natural body of the universe, and the natural body is not alive, so it is not dead. Avenue cultivation is to return oneself to the Tao - the natural ontology of the universe. After achieving this goal, since there is no concept of death, the concept of life is also gone.
According to this, monstroy is the recognition of the natural body of the universe. Then, once human society has not entered the stage of monstroy, and human beings have been born and destroyed due to natural disasters, then Taoists can be spared. Of course, once human society is destroyed, it is indeed meaningless to promote Jindan Avenue. However, neither monks nor preachers wait to see whether human society will be destroyed on the last day before deciding whether they can engage in monies. But after discovering and recognizing the only truth of the universe, he resolutely entered the practice of monism consciously, utilitarianism and naturally. Just cultivate, don't ask about the harvest. If monism is like buying vegetables in the vegetable market, after bargaining, you can buy it at a reasonable price, and buy less or not if it is not cost-effective, there is no such thing as 'monmonism' in the world.
I can't predict whether the world will face the end. But a determined pathist can turn bad luck into good luck, which can be asserted. If this assertion cannot be confirmed, the reason must be found on whether it is 'firm' and whether it is in line with it.
2. It is necessary to understand a concept of 'Tao' that has not been described in ancient and modern times. That is, Tao is divided into three poles: Wuji, Taiji and Youji. There is no extreme, there is extreme, there is extreme, there is extreme, it is a critical point. There is no extreme unity, and there is a great difference. Therefore, from the origin of the infinite, Tao has been nurtured by Taiji and has multiplied infinite extremes. This infinite end shows the infinite level of the end. From here, it can be recognized and understood that in human society, there are both right and evil ways. In the monis, due to perseverance, endurance, material conditions and environmental constraints, there is a difference between the level of monism. Not everyone is bound to have nothing to do with Taoism. What you said, 'can only constantly improve and transform yourself, and move closer to truth, goodness and beauty' should actually be understood as moving from the shallow level of Tao to the high and deep level of Tao.
The highest form of mony operation is both self-interest and self-interest. On the surface, self-interested people look commendable, but in fact, it is not a great moral act. For example, an philanthropic entrepreneur can often take out part of his corporate profits to donate to social philanthropy. Well, it is profitable for his business to make money, and it is profitable to donate to charity. This is called self-interest before others. But if he sells all the old capital of his business at once to donate to charity, obviously, he can only do good things this time and can't do more good things. For example, if a monk sees someone trapped in the sea of fire, if he has fire-proof equipment, experience and wisdom and courage, he can save people without damaging himself, which means to benefit others without harming himself, which has the same meaning as benefiting himself and others. And if he only has a heart to save others and lacks any ability and conditions to save people, he only dies in the sea of fire, or replaces his death with his own death. This act of harming himself and benefiting others is sympathetizing and praiseworthy, but in fact, it should not be advocated. If this spirit is strongly promoted in society, it will be misleading and many lives that should not be sacrificed will be sacrificed. In fact, in real society, a person who does not have the ability to save others and rescuers will not be criticized, and he does not have to be condemned by his conscience. However, a person who has the ability to save others and has the ability to rescue himself and not save the world for his own benefit should be praised. Condemnation of the heart. Because his self-interest has become completely selfish. The self-interest of monks is aimed at benefiting others and benefiting others more, and the two are fundamentally different.
3. There are two aspects of monsation, one is sexual cultivation, which is related to spirit; the other is life cultivation, which is related to matter. In summary, the Tao has both the original and the end, then the material is also divided into coarse, turbid and clear, and the refined ones are in a trance, invisible, permanent and invisible; the rough ones are bright, white, tangible and visible for the time being. People in Taoism can be divided into three categories. There are single practitioners who only work on spiritual liberation; there are single practitioners who only work on material renewal; those who have life and double practitioners who practice both spiritual liberation and material renewal, which is advocated by real immortals. There are as many monks as cattle, and there are very few Taoists. Most of the monks can't escape the disaster of death in the end. Most monks deliberately call death a journey to the west because they can't succeed. In fact, driving a crane is a journey to the west. Journey to the west is another name for death. Driving a crane and a journey to the west must not be confused. Driving a crane is to realize the immortal dream, and the journey to the west is to return to the west. After a hundred, everything is gone and everything is empty. What's more ridiculous are those who return to the west, and still deceive themselves that they want to take advantage of their wishes to come back. They don't even have a name. They don't talk about taking advantage of their wishes to come back. After death, their bodies will soon rot and decompose, and their hairless skin will settle down and deceive themselves.
4. The body of Tao (i.e. infinite) is non-relative, and the end of Tao (i.e. infinite) is relative. In the extreme time and space of the Tao, both sides are the end of the Tao. If either side is removed, the other side cannot be established. This is such as good and evil, beauty and ugliness, height, size, old and young, men and women, you and me, coming and going, etc. Therefore, the monk should return to the innate from the day after tomorrow and return to the Tao from the end of the Tao. First of all, they can't do it without relative and can't distinguish between good and evil. But monks can't insist on distinguishing between good and evil in the end. Because in the ordinary world, the judgment of good and evil often depends on different values, and the transformation of time and space will also affect the continuous change of judgment of good and evil. In addition, some conventional causal alienation will occur in the interlaced encounters of complex time and space, which will often cause some seemingly good to bear evil consequences and turn evil into good. If you can't be free from the judgment of good and evil, you will only be in sharp contradictions, and in the end you can't return to Taoism. Legend has it that there is an old monster in the universe called Devouring Ancestor. I don't know what it looks like, because I have never seen this old monster. No one who has seen devouring the ancestors can escape.
In addition, the black-eating monster is also very powerful. I have seen this kind of black-eating monster with magical magic. This kind of 'black-eating monster' lurks in a black abyss in the void, which is more fierce than a tiger in the forest. No matter what it is, once it enters its sphere of influence, it will be swallowed and not even spit out bones. And it also put on a stealth suit, and no one can see it. Even if you shine with strong light and detect it with various searchlights and demon mirrors, you still can't find its trace.
