ideal era

106 into Xinjiang

In order to successfully complete the task of marching into Xinjiang, the headquarters of the Lanzhou Anxi Army carried out various preparations nervously in a short period of time before the march. Lin Tiechang and the commanders at all levels often investigate and study in person all night, grasp the situation of the army, solve various problems, and formulate a thorough march plan and deployment. They all give specific instructions on how to implement policies and discipline in the march. According to this, the officers at all levels of the Anxi Army have carried out in-depth political mobilization and education on the army.

Lin Tiechang, the chief secretary of the Anxi Army, conveyed the instructions of Marshal Li at the cadre meeting above the regiment, and introduced the situation and deployment at that time in detail. He said very seriously, "This march is of great significance and is directly related to the democratic republic of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang and the reunification of the motherland. We must successfully complete this glorious task." After saying that, he walked to the wall again and pointed to the picture and said loudly, "Xinjiang is part of the great rivers and mountains of the motherland. The great powers and their lackeys want to cut off this place. Will you agree?"

"No!" Everyone answered firmly.

Lin Tiechang continued, "Yes! If the great powers are not cut off, we will quickly march into Xinjiang according to the instructions of Marshal Li. Be prepared to suffer and walk. No matter how difficult it is, you should try your best to drive in quickly.

Lin Tiechang then roared: "In this era, we are born to death, and we are always ready to insert into the enemy's heart like a sharp knife. We shoulder the mission of defending the border of the motherland. We are a group of monsters, crossing the desert sea, crossing the Gobi, crossing the swamp... We are fearless. The purpose is to plant the red flag on Tianshan Mountain!"

After all the preparations were ready, the Anxi Army of the National Revolution stationed in Xinjiang began to enter Xinjiang from Jiuquan and west through Yumen and Anxi by means of transportation, mules and peddders.

As an advance detachment marching on land, the Iron Armored Chariot Regiment took the lead in leaving the Yumen Pass in the west, crossing the Xingxing Gorge in the north, and marching towards Dihua, Xinjiang. The new army, which was born in the smoke of the Western Expedition War, rushed to the northwest battlefield and participated in the pursuit and annihilation battle of Longxi, as well as the battle of Guangfu Hexi, recovered and protected the Yumen oil mine, and made brilliant achievements in the northwest battlefield. This time, it was used as an advance detachment and went to Xinjiang in advance. Once again, the regimental officers strongly feel that this mission is extremely glorious, but it must also be arduous!

It's snowing heavily,

Revolutionary warriors have a strong will,

I'm energetic and not afraid of the cold,

We must defeat nature.

The Anxi army embarked on this journey, and the strong wind swept the goose feathers and heavy snow. There was a vast white world everywhere in the north and south of Tianshan Mountain, and the temperature was often at minus 20 or 30 degrees. Especially in the Altay Mountains and the Ili Valley, the snow cover is more than one meter, which brings great difficulties to our march. However, the glorious mission inspires the fighters to move forward bravely. Carrying heavy weapons, dry food, drinking water and burning firewood, they travel more than a hundred miles a day in the deep snow.

On the way to march, the cold wind blew on his face, as painful as a knife. Although he was wearing a cotton-padded coat, he fell naked into the ice cellar. Some comrades' hands and feet were numb. In order to resist the wind and cold, the soldiers always raise their legs and shake their arms in the march to move their whole body and increase heat. As soon as he stopped, he took out a snow hole in the snow and put his foot in it. Whenever you march in a mountain canyon, the snow is deeper, and sometimes you have to save your comrades-in-arms from the neckless snow pit. In the continuous march, although the soldiers did not get good supplies and rest, they did not care about fatigue and were full of vitality. Along the way, they drank ice and snow, ate dry food, crossed countless mountains, crossed a lot of glaciers, crossed the Gobi Bohai Sea, and their shoes were worn out, so they wrapped them in rags or walked barefoot. If you have no place to live, just sleep in the wilderness. Although the environment was very difficult at that time, no one complained or said a strange word. On the contrary, the more difficult the times are, the more the fighters are full of revolutionary optimism, taking big strides while singing "forward!" Advance!" The war song, singing while walking, threw the fatigue out of the sky.

The soldiers of the revolutionary army, in difficult times, are united in difficulties and share joys and sorrows. The whole army is full of mutual help. Comrades are the first to bear the difficulties and strive for the heaviest things. Strong warriors compete to replace young and weak warriors with weapons and dry food. When the disease appears, everyone is very caring, considerate, and take turns to help, so as not to leave a person behind.

After the advance detachment set out, a powerful ground long-distance walker began!

When climbing over Tianshan Mountain, a battalion commander fell and hurt his leg and it was difficult to walk. In order to take care of him, the head of the regiment specially gave him a horse. When he found that a soldier's leg had also been injured, he immediately gave the horse to the soldier. This spirit of class fraternity has become a huge combat effectiveness.

The troops of the pedestrian army marched side by side from Jiuquan and Zhangye, west out of Jiayuguan, and marched towards Xinjiang. The difficulty is really unimaginable! Thousands of miles of Gobi wilderness, the temperature difference between day and night is huge, the vast desert is vast, the sea is deserted, and the water source is extremely scarce. Sometimes the wind is raging, sometimes it is extremely cold, and sometimes it is extremely hot. When the wind blew, the sky was dark, the gravel was flying, the yellow sand was long, the mountain-like sand dunes were moved out of the distance in an instant, and the heavy horses and donkeys were run away by the storm. The "desert boat" was also so scared that it lay in the desert and roared in horror and refused to move forward. In this weather, it is extremely difficult to walk or stand. The fighters tied the rope around their waists, one by one, and moved forward step by step. The daytime temperature is as high as 30 or 40 degrees, and the temperature at night plummets to more than minus 20 degrees. The Gobi Sea can't camp at all. The officers and soldiers have to heat the bunker with the camel thorns they found, and then remove the firewood ash, squat in it to beat tons, or sit around the yellow fire and stay up all night. Sometimes they simply travel overnight to drive with non-stop sports. Cold.

In this march, many heroic groups have emerged, and the Blader Ranger Group of the Jingbu Curtain Corps is a prominent one. After the regiment arrived in Aksu, it suddenly learned that there was a small group of enemies in Hotan who were ready to move, and the ethnic scum who fled to the border blew a demonic wind of "pan-Turkishism". Therefore, they were ordered to continue to march towards Hetian. At that time, there were three roads to go from Aksu to Hotan: two roads, with more water and grass and thick smoke, which were often taken by people, but the road was long and took a long time. The other one can walk one-third less, but cross the Taklamakan Desert. For thousands of years, this "sea of death" that "can't get in and out" has been regarded as a fear. Many foreign explorers have taken risks, some have gone in but not come out, and some have wandered on the edge of the desert for a while, looking at the "sea" and sighing back. It can be seen how dangerous this road is! However, in order to smash the enemy's conspiracy as soon as possible and liberate the suffering people of Hetian, they decided to choose this dangerous escape. In the desert, it is hard to find dripping water, hurricane sand, lack of food and firewood. Our heroic fighters are full of loyalty to the revolutionary cause and fight against the sand, storm, thirst and cold with perseverance and revolutionary will. After entering the desert hinterland, the troops encountered a big storm that they had never seen before. The wind swept the flying sand and covered the sky and the sun, which made people unable to open their eyes and stand still. The army did not see a drop of water for more than ten hours. They did not eat a meal, and the soldiers' lips were dry and bleeding. At this difficult time, the revolutionary soldiers carried forward the spirit of unity and fraternity, fought against the storm hand in hand and continued to move forward. When the army marched four hundred miles away from Hotan, there was news that a small group of counter-revolutionaries led by pseudo-deputy commissioners conspired to commit violence. Our army immediately organized a light cavalry team and went straight to Hotan day and night, and the main force of the army arrived in the suburbs of Hotan in two days. Just as the class enemy was dreaming of dying, our army had fallen like a divine soldier, and Xilong Town and Hetian were finally restored.

In the march of thousands of miles, all the officers and soldiers gave full play to the Anxi army's fine tradition of hardships, hard work, tenacious struggle and united battle, and overcome all kinds of unimaginable difficulties and dangers such as thirst and Anxi Wind, Bari Kunqi Cold and Turpan Hot, which are known as the "Three Monsters". On the one hand, he put down the rebellion along the way, and on the other hand, he traveled a long journey of more than 6,000 miles. He successfully entered all parts of Xinjiang and traveled more than 1,000 kilometers. He successfully reached the important places in eastern Xinjiang and the towns along the eastern edge of the Tianshan Mountains, completing the feat of a thousand-mile march and creating a miracle in the world's military history. This miracle, driving through Hami and continuing westward, passing through the Turpan Basin and the vast Gobi, crossing the alpine canyons of the Tianshan Mountains, overcoming many unimaginable difficulties such as the shortage of oil and spare materials, the old machinery being able to withstand long-distance bumps and often "climbing nests", and finally arrived at Dihua.

Miracle! This miracle of victory, like the countless victorious battles of the Ezhou National Revolutionary Army, has written a glorious page in the history of the Ezhou National Revolutionary Army.

The two major corps of the Anxi Army successfully stationed in Dihua under the guidance of the "Welcome Mission of the Anxi Army to Xinjiang" sent by Jin Zhaolong and Feng Temin.

On the same day, Lin Tiechang called Li Xiang and described the warm scene of Xinjiang people welcoming the Anxi Army: Xinjiang Jin Zhaolong and Feng Temin called and said, "I hope to quickly march into Xinjiang to maintain order." It has been the third day since about two or thirty thousand people from all walks of life in Dihua welcomed the Anxi Army dozens of miles away.

When receiving the report that the troops of Xinjiang successfully arrived at the scheduled station, General Li couldn't hide his happiness and rewarded all the commanders, saying that the march "created an unprecedented record".

The Anxi Army marched into Xinjiang, and the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang and the vast number of patriotic uprising officers and soldiers and government officials represented by Feng Temin and other leaders of the Xinjiang Alliance were warmly supported. However, there are also Yang Zengxin and a small group of Yuan factions and ethnic scum traitors and Manchu slaves to obstruct and destroy.

At the beginning of the march, in the Jiuquan headquarters, the headquarters of the Jingbumu Corps received telegrams from secret agents and reactionaries who incited the riots to the insurgent forces: in Shanshan, the enemy held a rebellion, robbed the county magistrate and the welcoming masses who were ready to welcome the Anxi army to enter the city, and blocked the 20th regiment of the leading force of the Jingbumu Corps outside the city. ; In Yanqi, the remnants of the Qing army plundered the masses, burned more than 100 houses, and killed and injured dozens of people; in the wheel platform, the masses were killed and injured more than 200 people; in Kuche, the whole city was robbed... The marching troops suddenly received an emergency message from Dihua, saying that the remaining officers of the Qing army stationed in Hami pointed out that the troops stationed in Qijiaojing were detained. The truck carrying military supplies in the fifth division of the Jingbumu Corps seized all the people accompanying them, and rushed back to Hami, openly robbed more than 20,000 taels of gold and a large number of materials from Hami Bank, set fire to hundreds of private houses, beat and scolded the masses, did all kinds of evil, and was also prepared to kidnap the whole regiment to rebel. Hami is the eastern gateway to Xinjiang. As soon as Hami is stuck, the march of the Anxi army will be greatly affected. According to the instructions of Commander-in-Chief Lin Tie, the marching troops decided to immediately surround them and disarm them.

Jing Bumu also wrote a letter to Yang Zengxin, the governor of Xinjiang, behind him, with a solemn warning: In order to ensure the victory of the peaceful restoration in Xinjiang, the traitors must immediately lay down their weapons. Otherwise, the Anxi army has the right to impose sanctions on them... At the same time, they are ordered to reply within half an hour.

When the troops entering Xinjiang and artillery surrounded the rebel troops, the enemy sent an assistant to negotiate with the advancing troops. This person is very slippery. He says some words "to show shame" verbally. In fact, he is round and hesitant, and always shirks responsibility.

Jing Bumu pointed out that your rebellion is to publicly undermine the agreement on the peaceful liberation of Xinjiang and directly endanger the interests of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. At the same time, it is instructed to identify the culprit as soon as possible and punish them severely; immediately return the stolen goods and compensate for the losses of the masses. A few days later, they arrested the chief villain, sent it to Dihua, and returned part of the robbed to the masses.

So far, Xinjiang has been included in the territory of the Ezhou government!
