City of Dimlight

Chapter 116 Learning on a Desert Island

Bosk suddenly woke up from his sleep and found a pair of eyes staring at him - Kozmo was standing in front of him, next to Larry and Garlock.

"What are you doing?" He complained, "Can't you let someone sleep well?"

Lari laughed: "But I think someone has been sleeping for a long time - it's time for lunch now!" Kozmo still looked indifferent.

"Damn it!" Bosk rubbed his eyes and explained, "Maybe there was no time pillar flame and so many noisy sounds, so I didn't wake up!" He looked at Kozmo: "What's the matter?" He asked strangely, "What are you all doing here?"

He stood up from the ground and moved his neck and limbs. It's all stiff!"

Larry took a step: "Mr. Kozmo made a suggestion for you and Garlock to train martial arts under him for a few days!" It's a good suggestion," Garlock was very happy: "Anyway, it's nothing. It's just right to train!"

"Why do you suddenly want to train?" Bosco is a little strange.

"The main reason is that Mr. Kozmo thinks that our regiment is too weak and is ready to help you improve!" Larry explained, "In the battle with the Cyclops, he fully saw the shortcomings of our regiment now! - Your acting regiment leader is almost the same as an ordinary mercenary in the battle!"

"What kind of training is it?" Bosk wants to know exactly the content, whether he needs it or not, or wants to know how the martial arts skills that come to the Sky City are different.

"Special training - just to improve your actual combat!" Kozmo finally said, "There is nothing else to learn!"

"Hurry up!" Larry urged, "There are still more than ten days to repair the bottom of the ship. Just find a suitable place nearby - you really should learn practical combat!"

"Well, Bosk took up his weapon: "Just take it as camping!"

"Listen to him, boy," our elder said to him for the last time, "otherwise, he will cut you into pieces for the vulture to eat!" Bosco showed an indifferent expression, but when he turned his face to Kozmo, he found that our swordsman was completely recognizing this issue.

"I have to be careful," he told himself, "this guy may really do such a thing!"

He and the temporary teacher walked inland in the direction of the seaside for the rest of the day, which was completely opposite to the direction of the expedition. Just two miles away, they found a cave - where Kozmo rested last night.

Garlock placed several skins and several pots in the hole, and there was nothing precious to mention. But this is good enough for unpretentious adventurers to make this training private and secluded enough to be undisturbed by others. For Kozmo, who rarely stays somewhere for more than a night, the hole itself is a luxury.

When the mist caused by air changes fell on the island at night, Kozmo woke up vigilantly taking a nap under the warm fire of the cave. The ninth-order sword god was very happy that on the first day they got along with each other, the two mercenaries trusted him very much and fell asleep easily and exposed himself fragilely in front of him. All this made the sword god who had never been appointed strange. He observed the expressions of the two and found that it was a kind of sleep without any defense and any scheming.

He looked at the two warriors who were about to start learning under him and found that the idea was not bad, at least it was a good start.

He woke up the two.

"Will our course start tonight?" Kozmo asked.

"You make up your mind about this," Boss said. But first of all, I would like to know what we can learn.

"The skills to keep you alive," replied the sword god. You have seen too little, and the use in actual combat is not very good - only by using skills skillfully can you take the initiative in battle!"

Garylock nodded, "That's right!" He said to Bosk, "We actually need more battles to hone ourselves, especially with the strong!"

Bosk turned back to look at the fire. He hasn't fully believed in Kozmo, but he can't think of any motive hidden with his friendly help.

"Let's become stronger together in battle." Our sword god said. He knew that he also needed to fight to improve himself. He seemed to feel something in the battle with the Cyclops yesterday, "Enjoy the battle, friends." For the first time, he called these two mercenaries his partners: "You can make Leo proud in the future!"

Bosk can't deny that he appreciates the sword god's respect for him.

During the day, Kozmo rested under the fire of the cave or went to a place where other people could be seen to meditate; while the other two went hunting for their dinner.

At night, they fight with each other.

The swordsman ruthlessly forced the two students. Whenever there was a gap in Garlock's defense, he would slap him with the plane of his sword. The fierceness of their moves often rises to dangerous levels, because Garlock is a proud warrior and often feels angry and frustrated because of the advantage of the sword god. This will only put the barbarian at a further disadvantage, because his anger makes him lose control of himself - the sword god can always make him fall to the ground with a series of slaps and sudden change of direction. Bosk felt helpless for the first time in the face of a sword god: his move was too slow to keep up with the speed of the warrior; and as a mage-type attack, he felt the weakness of his spell.

However, for his honor, Kozmo has never mocked or tried to humiliate him. The Sword God did this skillfully. He knew that his first job was to hone the reflex nerves of the two and teach them defense skills.

If possible, they can also guide their talents in other aspects.

Kozmo is deeply impressed that Bosco is inexperienced but still has such a strong ability. He was shocked by the infinite potential of this young bard. At first, he was afraid that Bosk's stubborn conceit and long-term high position would affect his study and make it difficult for him to train, but the young man summoned up the courage to face the challenge. Bosk cleverly found the benefits of learning from weapons masters like Kozmo, so he studied very intensively. His pride did not convince him that he was already a warrior with strong martial arts and did not need any guidance. Instead, he seized every opportunity that could make him achieve his goal. He slowly learned to control his impulsive emotions in many battles. At the end of the first week, he had been able to resist many cunning attacks of the sword gods.

The Sword God rarely said anything in the first week, but he occasionally praised Garlock for hiding or counterattacking well, and Bosco's rapid progress in such a short time. The two mercenaries were eager to hear the evaluation of the Sword God when they found that they were using difficult tricks, and they were afraid that they would inevitably be photographed when they foolishly showed their weaknesses.

In the middle of the second week, Garlock was able to fully master the strange tricks of the epee. He deftly used the handle and blade to resist the opponent's tricky attack and returned with a carefully calculated counterattack. Kozmo saw a subtle change - the barbarian had stopped reacting after the opponent's exquisite chopping, but recognized his defense weakness and predicted the opponent's next move.

Bosk began to change his tactics under his guidance. He was more like a ranger than a bard - because he began to attack like a warrior after initially using light and bad skills and various auxiliary battle songs.

When he believed that the defense of the two had improved enough, Kozmo began to teach them to attack. The sword god knows that his attack mode is not the most effective for the two. This barbarian is more suitable for using his muscles than attacking with cunning fake actions and instantaneous direction change. Garlock is a naturally active warrior, and the attack is easier for him than dodging - this strong warrior's precise blow is enough to defeat a giant.

The only thing he should learn is patience.

Bosk should learn the flexible use of his own magic and war songs in battle, not relying on scrolls and some simple attack magic. He gave Bosk a dagger to replace his original dagger. "Practice the attack with the left wand and the right dagger," he suggested, "You should be like a ranger, instead of really treating yourself as an auxiliary character!"

Bosk adopted this suggestion and tried his best to practice using it, but he asked the two to keep it secret for himself. Although he did not say the reason, he has slowly begun to change himself.

Just as everything went smoothly, Larry sent someone to inform himself that the ship had been repaired and could now go on the road again.

When he returned to the camp, Bosk was surprised to find that although it was only more than ten days, the remaining members of the mercenary regiment had made great differences - it seemed that with the help of the elves, they had been treated for their injuries and made great progress under Larry's high standards.

When the ship sailed on the ocean again, Kozmo lived in the room originally prepared for Zak - every day he was competing with Bosk. When he finally arrived at the port of the Dwarf Kingdom, the acting leader walked out of the room and everyone found a different temperament.

That's a kind of confident and calm temperament.

Elves and dwarves don't like the desert, so on the road experienced between the two kingdoms, there are a large number of goblins. This despicable creature is large, dirty and greedy. Because the dwarf kingdom has lived on the hills for a long time, it has little to do with itself, and naturally does not care about it. Out of its natural disgust for killing, the elf kingdom has always allowed it to survive and die, and finally reached the current huge number. It not only often steals various products in the village, but also creates past caravans. It has become a huge threat.

When Elder Regis took out the map and pointed to the large desert between the dwarf kingdom and the elf kingdom above to point out the danger, Bosk said confidently for the first time, "No problem!"
